Programme Introduction

A Bachelor of Psychology degree opens doors to those who need to answer the burning question - 'Why do we do what we do?'

Psychologists learn how human behavior affects us and apply that knowledge to help others. A psychologist may work in a private practice, with a medical institution or even in the business sector.

As a graduate with a Bachelor of Psychology you will have the skills that you need to help others to understand their situations, coping with ongoing problems and guiding them in living fulfilled lives.

Entry Requirements

  • Option 1: Entry with Diploma / Equivalent qualification

  • Diploma in the related area with CGPA at least 2.00 with recognition by the Ministry of Higher Education or the Malaysian Government
  • Option 2: Entry with Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) / A-Level / Equivalent qualification

  • Pass in STPM / A-Level or any other equivalent qualification with TWO (2) full passes or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • Option 3: Entry with Matriculation / Foundation / Equivalent qualification

  • Pass in Matriculation / Foundation or any other equivalent qualification with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • + Additional Requirements

  • Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Vokasional (SPM / SPMV) with:
    • Credit in Mathematics
    • Credit in Science
    • Pass in English
  • Required to have Malaysian University English Test (MUET) prior to applying for PTPTN loan.

Programme Outline

The Bachelor in Psychology develops both practical knowledge and practical skill. It also can be applied as foundation for career development in various sectors. In addition to the learning process, the graduates with a Bachelor of Psychology , can work in exciting areas such as forensic or research psychology.

A psychology degree can be used in business and management positions, as a social worker, teacher, researcher, administrator or in any position where you will work with people.

Graduates are able to pursue postgraduate studies at any potential universities.
