Programme Introduction

Fashion design is the art of the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. In conjunction with that, Diploma in Fashion Creative Design offers new skills, knowledge and professional experience in international learning and teaching environment.

This three-year program is a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the fashion industry through direct experience and experimentation by gaining the knowledge of the historical and cultural traditions that provides the foundations to today's innovation in the world of fashion. The program combines just the right balance between fashion design, production, textiles and computer skills required in the fashion industry. You will develop the artistic vision and technical knowledge to create garments for a wide range of markets such as swimwear, lingerie, eveningwear, outerwear, tailored jackets and children's wear to name a few, while exploring each stage of the fashion industry.

Studies include a variety of core courses in design, pattern drafting, construction, textiles, history of fashion and computer aided design. The program offers a diverse curriculum that allows students to select from the following three options; Textiles, Technology and Marketing.

Entry Requirements

  • Option 1: Entry with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Vokasional (SPM / SPMV)

  • Passed SPM / SPMV with 3 credits inclusive of:
    • Bahasa Melayu
    • Any other 2 subjects
  • Obtained a pass in English
  • Obtained a pass in Mathematics
  • Obtained a pass in Arts
  • Pass an Interview Session / Drawing Test / Portfolio Review for applicant without Arts subject qualification
  • Option 2: Entry with any Equivalent Qualification

  • Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government
  • Pass an Interview Session / Drawing Test / Portfolio Review for applicant without Arts subject qualification
