Programme Introduction

Students pursuing Bachelor in Information Technology will study the latest technology used in the business held, government, healthcare sectors, schools and other organizations through the selection, creation, application, integration and administration of computing technologies.

This program provides students with high level of knowledge and skills in both IT and management. It also equips students with other transferable skills such as communications, problem solving and interaction in preparing them to be an ICT professional.


Entry Requirements

  • Option 1: Entry with Matriculation / Foundation

  • Recognised certificates of Matriculation / Foundation with CGPA 2.00
  • Credit in Mathematics at SPM / SPMV level
  • Option 2: Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) / A-Level / Equivalent qualification

  • Pass in STPM / A-Level or equivalent with TWO (2) full passes or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • Credit in Mathematics at SPM / SPMV level
  • Option 3: Entry with a Diploma

  • A Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Option 4: Entry with a Diploma (Alternative)

  • Any other Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Credit in Mathematics at SPM / SPMV level
  • + Additional Requirements

  • Required to have Malaysian University English Test (MUET) prior to applying for PTPTN loan.

Career Pathway

Graduates of BIT can apply jobs such as IT Project Managers, System Administrators, IT Officers (Government), Network Administrators, System Analysts, Programmers, Webmasters, Educators or Database Administrators.

Graduates are able to pursue postgraduate studies at any potential universities.
